This information was presented at a conference held on 18/12, publicizing Resolution 201/2025 of the National Assembly on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development in Ho Chi Minh City.
The city is seeking investment for social housing projects on land plots with a total area of 9,48 hectares, projected to yield 6,157 residential units. Most of these sites are currently vacant land, already equipped with connecting roads and technical infrastructure.

Among these, the largest is a 4,7-hectare plot in Rach Dua ward (former Vung Tau), slated for 2,295 housing units. Next is lot CT6, covering 1,18 hectares within the resettlement area in Dong Hung Thuan ward (former District 12), which will accommodate 800 units. This resettlement area also includes lots CT3 (0,71 hectares), CT4 (0,7 hectares), and CT7 (0,48 hectares), with planned constructions of 570-700 units.
Remaining locations include: a 0,98-hectare area within the residential project in Long Truong ward (former Thu Duc City), for 300 units; land plot 61B (0,38 hectares) on street 16, Khanh Hoi ward (former District 4); and plot 314 (0,35 hectares) on Au Duong Lan, Chanh Hung ward (former District 8), which will respectively build 504 and 288 housing units.
At the conference, Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, stated that by 2030, the city aims to construct nearly 200,000 social housing units for low-income individuals, workers, officials, and laborers. To achieve this, the city is implementing various solutions under Resolution 201, significantly streamlining procedures compared to previous methods.
Dinh instructed the Department of Construction to act as the central coordinator, promptly implementing related initiatives to ensure the simultaneous execution of projects. The goal is to complete the social housing target ahead of schedule, by 2028.
