At 1 AM on 18/12, a collision occurred on the access road to a rest stop on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, near Xuan Que commune. The incident involved an ambulance, whose license plate is currently unknown, and a tractor-trailer bearing a Ha Tinh license plate.

Following the impact, the ambulance caught fire. There were five people inside the vehicle. Three people died: the driver, an assistant, and a patient. The two injured individuals were transported for emergency medical treatment.
