The Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang expressway has resumed full fuel services with the opening of two gas stations at the Xa Tho mountain rest stop on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section. This development, which took place on the morning of 11/2, ends a fuel disruption of over half a month on the crucial 400-kilometer route. The previous closure of a gas station on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway had caused difficulties for long-distance vehicles.
Pham Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction), announced that the two gas stations, TTC Chau Thanh one and two, began operations at 5h on 11/2. Many vehicles traveling on the route stopped to refuel that morning. "The project management board and investors have worked to complete all conditions for the gas station to operate in time, meeting the travel needs of residents during peak season," Huy stated.

Prior to the opening, the Company Thuong mai Dich vu TTC Chau Thanh received a certificate from the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, authorizing it to retail petroleum at the two stores. These are located on both sides of the route at the Xa Tho mountain rest stop in Ham Thuan Bac commune. The Xa Tho mountain rest stop, a 4-star facility, completed many construction items and began operations in late 12/2025. With the addition of the gas stations, the rest stop now offers essential services along the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang expressway, including: restrooms, dining, fuel, and electric vehicle charging stations.

The rest stop project represents a total investment of over 310 billion VND. It includes two stations situated opposite each other on either side of the expressway, each spanning about 5 hectares. The project was executed by a consortium comprising Thanh Thanh Nam - Chau Thanh - Viet Han - Sai Gon Investment - Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong. The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, which is over 100 kilometers long, is one of four component projects of the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang expressway route, operating since 2023.
