Around 2h, a fire erupted from the over 50 square meter basement of the hotel on Han Thuyen street. Thick smoke quickly spread to the upper floors.
At the time, the hotel had five guests and one receptionist. Upon discovering the fire, the receptionist alerted everyone, guided two guests outside, and then notified authorities. Two other individuals, in a state of panic, ran to the rooftop.

Approximately five minutes later, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police dispatched two fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.
Firefighters, wearing smoke masks, deployed hoses to extinguish the blaze, bringing the fire under control after about 10 minutes. Subsequently, authorities continued to extract smoke, ventilate the basement, thoroughly check the entire hotel, and safely escort two trapped guests down using the stairs.

Local residents reported hearing a loud explosion when the fire broke out. However, because the fire was quickly contained, it did not affect neighboring structures.
By 9h, authorities were still cordoning off the scene, investigating the cause, and assessing the damage.
