One man died instantly when a homemade firework exploded, causing the second floor of a two-story house in An Thi commune to collapse on the morning of 10/2. A representative from the An Thi Commune People's Committee confirmed the fatality.

The incident occurred around 7:45 AM in An Ba village. A loud explosion from the house's second floor shook the ground, bringing down walls and filling the area with smoke, fire, and dust.

At the scene, the two-story house had its second floor almost entirely destroyed, with debris from walls and the roof scattered. Several surrounding houses also sustained damage, including cracked walls and broken glass.
