On 7/3, Hope Bridge 439 was inaugurated in Noc Coc hamlet, Muong Lam commune, bringing relief and improved safety for over 1,600 residents and more than 100 students. The 3,5-meter-wide reinforced concrete bridge, a stable crossing over a major stream, replaces a temporary wooden structure. Do Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of Muong Lam People's Committee, highlighted the bridge as a long-awaited dream, crucial for the 300 households in this particularly disadvantaged commune. The project is expected to boost socio-economic development and improve local living standards.
The new bridge addresses a critical need following a severe storm in April 2025, which completely destroyed the hamlet's only suspension bridge. This vital link connected Noc Coc with Hua Thong and Pha Thong hamlets in the former Dua Mon commune (now Muong Lam). After the disaster, residents had to build a temporary bridge to ensure children could attend school and agricultural products could be transported.

Roche Vietnam partnered with 200 million VND, while FPT Polytechnic College's faculty and students raised another 200 million VND. MoMo users also contributed 150 million VND, with the remaining funds provided by local authorities and residents.

Representatives of sponsoring units, local authorities, and residents inaugurate Hope Bridge 439.
Nguyen Thi Thuy, Head of the Basic Department at FPT Polytechnic College, shared insights into their fundraising approach. Students organized small sales projects, offering snacks, baked goods, and handmade products. "Our educational activities teach students not only the spirit of learning but also the spirit of giving, community responsibility, and gratitude," Thuy stated. "This bridge proves that small actions, when combined by many, can create significant impact."
A representative from Roche Vietnam added: "This is the fourth bridge Roche has co-sponsored with the Hope Foundation. This project is meaningful as it addresses a part of the local residents' difficulties. I hope this new structure not only helps children get to school safely but also serves as a bridge to a bright future for generations to come."
