On 13/1, the Agency of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a conference to gather opinions from voters at the workplace regarding individuals expected to be nominated as candidates for the 16th National Assembly.
Besides Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, other nominated personnel include Ha Thi Nga, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Nguyen Thai Hoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.
Two Heads of Departments from the Agency of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front were allocated and nominated by the National Assembly Standing Committee as full-time deputies for the 16th National Assembly: Vu Van Tien, Head of the Propaganda Department, and Nguyen Quynh Lien, Head of the Democracy, Supervision, and Social Criticism Department.
After hearing the brief biographies of the candidates, voters commented that the nominees possess strong political qualities, have good work capacity, and meet the required qualifications for the 16th National Assembly candidacy. The conference saw 100% of voters unanimously vote to nominate these individuals.

On behalf of the nominated individuals, Vice President Ha Thi Nga expressed gratitude for the attention and trust shown by leaders of the Party Committee and the Agency of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. She committed to fulfilling the duty of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of all strata of the people, and participating in building the Party, the State, and the political system.
She stressed that they would perform social supervision and criticism tasks as regulated, participate in deciding important national issues, and that each deputy would serve as a bridge between the Party, the State, and the people.
