The over one-minute clip shows a conflict between the group and some foreign tourists. As two tourists stood on a park walkway in the evening, an argument ensued with a group wearing blue shirts, believed to be uniforms of a tourism business establishment. Subsequently, one person from the group ran towards them, holding a shovel and threatening them, while another used a plastic chair in a menacing way, causing one tourist to flee. The area was crowded with passersby at the time. Several witnesses appeared frightened by the incident.
This incident has raised concerns about the local tourism image, especially for Nha Trang, a popular destination for international tourists. The city is known for its beautiful bay, white sandy beaches, clear blue waters, and mild climate. In 2025, the area welcomed approximately 14.8 million overnight visitors, including 4.6 million international guests, with total tourism revenue estimated at over VND 60.3 trillion.
