Local authorities urged several households, including a nearby business, to evacuate immediately. Authorities cordoned off the area, issued warnings, managed traffic, and helped residents find temporary housing.
According to the My Hoa Hung Commune People's Committee (UBND), the landslide occurred within a zone previously identified as high-risk by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The erosion was caused by the river current pressing against the curved riverbank, combined with the weight of the houses and the road above. The risk of further landslides remains high, and authorities are developing plans to relocate affected residents.
