At approximately 8 a.m., residents observed dense black smoke rising from the Oanh Van Co., Ltd. workshop, which spans over 500 square meters. Minutes later, the fire intensified inside, causing part of the roof to collapse and thick black smoke to spread widely, visible from a considerable distance.

According to Duy Trinh, a local resident living near the scene, the fire occurred on a holiday, so few people were inside the workshop. The affected area contained numerous materials used in the footwear industry, which allowed the flames to spread rapidly.

Upon receiving the report, Hai Phong city police deployed dozens of officers and soldiers along with three fire trucks to the scene. They worked to extinguish the flames and contain the fire to prevent its spread.

The burned workshop, constructed with a steel frame and corrugated iron walls, is situated about 100 meters from a gas station.

By approximately 9 a.m., strong winds continued to fuel the intense smoke and flames. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
