Around 7 p.m., workers discovered a fire breaking out in a corner of the workshop at a company specializing in yarn and textile production within Nhon Trach 2 Industrial Park, Nhon Trach ward. They immediately raised the alarm and attempted to extinguish the blaze. However, on-site firefighting teams and personnel from other companies were unsuccessful in containing it.
Due to the company's production of fabric and yarn, which involves many flammable materials, the fire quickly consumed nearly 1,000 square meters of the factory. A massive column of fire and smoke soared hundreds of meters high, clearly visible from a kilometer away.
Van Vy, a worker nearby, stated that the fire raged intensely, resembling burning gasoline, and was accompanied by numerous explosions. He observed many people inside the workshop attempting to move belongings out. "The large fire and loud explosions meant no one dared to get close," Van Vy said.

Dong Nai Police quickly mobilized more than 10 specialized vehicles and hundreds of officers to suppress the fire. Given the factory's extensive size, authorities divided into multiple teams, directing water jets to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.
Roads surrounding the scene were cordoned off to facilitate water supply operations for the firefighters.
By 10 p.m., the fire was largely brought under control, with no casualties reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation and assessment.
