On 10/6, the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board, in collaboration with Dong Nai Power Company, energized and commissioned the power supply system for the project. The power source connects from the 22 kV feeders of the 110 kV Long Thanh Airport substation to ACV's power receiving station, adhering to the approved design.
A representative of the Management Board stated that energizing the system is a crucial step. It ensures stable, continuous power for trial operations and the synchronized commissioning of the technical infrastructure, aiming for the airport's commercial operation by the end of 2026.

Previously, in 12/2025, Dong Nai Power Company inaugurated the 110 kV Long Thanh Airport substation and its connecting lines. The project, valued at over 158 billion VND, includes a 3,8 km dual-circuit 110 kV line, two transformers with a total capacity of 80 MVA, and 6 x 22 kV feeders to directly supply power to the airport's loads.
The substation operates on an unmanned model. Its entire monitoring and control system is digitized, allowing remote operation via SCADA and complying with IEC 61850 standards. This system enables real-time equipment monitoring, enhancing the reliability of the power supply. The Long Thanh Airport construction site currently consumes an average of about 730,000 kWh per month.
In early June, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the project investor, launched a 180-day construction drive to complete Long Thanh Airport. According to the plan, the airport will undergo three trial operation phases in September, October, and November, before its official launch.
Currently, the total project output value has reached nearly 76%. Runway 1 and the apron are complete, having safely received a calibration flight in 12/2025.
Main construction packages have achieved over 64% of their contract value. Specifically, the terminal apron area is over 88% complete, the fuel supply system over 92%, and connecting transportation routes are nearly 90% complete. The passenger terminal, a central component of the project, has completed its main structural work and is currently undergoing architectural finishing and equipment installation, with approximately two-thirds of the volume achieved.
Long Thanh Airport is being built on an area of about 5,000 hectares, with a total capital of nearly 16 billion USD. Phase 1 is expected to commence commercial operations by the end of 2026, with a capacity of 25 million passengers and 1,2 million tons of cargo per year.
