The incident began two mornings ago when the photocopy and stationery shop in Binh Dai commune caught fire. After controlling the blaze, authorities found the body of Tran Ngoc Ly, 82, the father of the shop owner.
Initial investigations by Vinh Long Provincial Police suggested that another person might have been trapped inside. However, search efforts faced difficulties as part of the shop's first floor had collapsed, and the side walls were damaged, posing a risk of further collapse.
