Around 5:45 AM, flames erupted from the first floor of a four-story house with a rooftop extension, spanning over 25 square meters, located deep within alley 35 Hong Phuc, Ba Dinh ward. Within minutes, the fire had engulfed the first floor and began to spread to upper levels.
The house was occupied by three people. Two managed to escape through a loggia on the third floor, while one person was trapped inside due to burns.

The Hanoi Police Command Information Center dispatched four fire trucks, three command vehicles, and over 20 officers and firefighters from teams 7, 8, and 14 to the scene.
Due to the house's location deep within a narrow alley, fire trucks could not directly access the building. Firefighters had to deploy hoses from the main road to reach the blaze.
By 6:35 AM, the fire was extinguished. Police successfully rescued the trapped individual and transferred them to medical personnel for emergency treatment. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Hanoi has experienced several fires in the past week. On 14/4, a sixth-floor apartment at apartment building 2 Vuong Thua Vu, Khuong Dinh ward, caught fire, but three people escaped unharmed. On 12/4, a five-story house in alley 131 Hong Ha street also caught fire, leading to the rescue of five individuals.
