My Ngai ward accelerates infrastructure development to attract investment

My Ngai ward prioritizes infrastructure development to attract investment and expand urban spaces for commerce, services, industry, construction, and agriculture.

Formed from the merger of My Ngai ward, My Tan commune (Cao Lanh city), and Tan Nghia commune (Cao Lanh district), My Ngai ward covers 49 square kilometers and has a population of over 50,000.

The new ward benefits from an industrial park and ample opportunities for green urban agriculture and ecotourism. It currently houses 177 businesses and 708 operating households. The 56-hectare Tran Quoc Toan industrial park is at 99% occupancy.

In agriculture, the ward has successfully established 36 traceable planting areas covering over 22,000 hectares, meeting export standards. The locality has 4 meeting halls, over 20 active cooperatives, and has developed 20 OCOP products with 3-star ratings or higher. For community tourism, the ward boasts two popular destinations: the Xom Ray Weekend Market and the Phuoc Dien grape garden.

Vo Phan Thanh Minh, Secretary of My Ngai ward, stated that the 2025-2030 term marks a crucial period, ushering in a new era of development for the nation. Digital transformation is being implemented across three pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The two-level government model continues to be consolidated and improved, effectively serving the people.

According to the ward secretary, the merger provides My Ngai with significant opportunities for socioeconomic development. Synchronized infrastructure investments and expanded urban spaces facilitate effective exploitation of local potential. The completion of the National Highway 30 bypass will further unlock comprehensive socioeconomic development.

The ward is currently implementing the 48-hectare My Ngai Ward Industrial and Handicraft Cluster project and the My Tan urban area project. It is also upgrading and expanding several inner-city roads, investing in residential areas, and improving urban landscapes. Regarding urban and transportation infrastructure, the ward is focusing on national and provincial roads spanning 146 km.

To attract investment, the local government pledges to "accompany and support" businesses. It is proactively innovating its management, continuously improving the investment and business environment, and enhancing its service-oriented approach. A business startup and development support unit will be established locally to further facilitate business growth.

In tourism, My Ngai aims to invest in and improve tourism infrastructure and the quality of existing tourism products to better meet the needs of residents and visitors. The ward continues to effectively leverage its tourism products and connect rural tourism tours, developing highly integrated tourism products such as ecotourism, agricultural tourism, rural tourism linked with OCOP products, and cultural-historical tourism combined with village festivals.

One of the key tasks is to create breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to generate new growth drivers. The ward is strengthening the application of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, prioritizing the development of a creative government that is open, transparent, and modern. Focus is being placed on building and developing startup and innovation spaces and promoting the roles of community digital technology groups, digital transformation youth groups, and digital literacy groups.

He also encouraged startups and attracting investment.

The My Ngai Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term consists of 33 members. Vo Phan Thanh Minh was appointed as the Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People's Council.
