Nguyen Xuan Truong appointed deputy head of Central Internal Affairs Commission

Nguyen Xuan Truong, director general of the Internal Affairs Agency, has been appointed deputy head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission by the Secretariat of the Central Committee, according to a decision announced on the morning of 31/12/2024.

Nguyen Xuan Truong is 47 years old. He holds a bachelor's degree in people's security and a doctorate in law, specializing in criminology and crime prevention. His career includes serving as a lecturer at the People's Security Academy, an officer at the Office of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity, deputy director general for monitoring and handling cases, director general of Local Department I, and director general of the Internal Affairs Agency within the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

The Central Internal Affairs Commission serves as an advisory body to the Central Committee of the Communist Party, and directly to the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee. It provides counsel on major policies related to internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-wastefulness, anti-negativity, and judicial reform. The commission also acts as the Party's specialized agency for internal affairs and is the standing body for both the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity and the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.

Phan Dinh Trac currently serves as the head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission. The 7 deputy heads include Le Minh Tri, Vo Van Dung, Bui Van Nghiem, Le Hong Quang, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Dang Van Dung, and Nguyen Xuan Truong.
