On the same morning, delegations from the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee - Ministry of Public Security, and the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi also visited President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and commemorated the heroic martyrs.

On 2/9/1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The date 2/9 has since become Vietnam's National Day.

Before each National Day, Party and State leaders typically visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and offer incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs. Similar commemorative activities occur during Lunar New Year, the founding anniversary of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Day for Invalids and Martyrs, and many other major national holidays.

The Mausoleum welcomes domestic and international visitors to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh from 7:30 h to 10:30 h on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; extending to 11:00 h on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Specifically on 19/5, National Day 2/9, and the first day of Lunar New Year, visits are still held if they fall on a Monday or Friday.
