Passenger bus overturns, 4 dead in Son La

A passenger bus carrying 18 people on national highway 6 overturned into a roadside drainage ditch in Chieng Hac commune, Son La, on the morning of 17/1, killing 4 people instantly.

The Traffic Police Department reported that at approximately 4:15 AM, a Son La-licensed passenger bus, carrying 14 passengers, two drivers, and two assistants, was traveling from Hanoi to Son La. Upon reaching Lac Ken village in Chieng Hac commune, the bus suddenly veered into a drainage ditch on the right side of the road and overturned.

The accident resulted in 4 immediate fatalities, with one person transported for emergency medical treatment. Traffic police investigation confirmed that both drivers had not used stimulants.

Today, due to an eastward shift in cold air, the northern region experienced rain and dense fog.
