The establishment's entire food processing, business, and supply operations have also been suspended for a period of four months. The Provincial People's Committee assigned Lam Dong Department of Health to coordinate with relevant units to supervise, monitor, and urge the rectification of consequences as regulated.
Previously, from 13/12/2025 to 18/12/2025, hospitals in the area of Phan Thiet city (formerly) received and treated 97 suspected food poisoning cases with symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea. All patients reported purchasing cold cut sandwiches from Bibone shop before being hospitalized.
Test results from Pasteur Institute Nha Trang identified Salmonella spp bacteria in samples of fermented pork sausage (nem chua) and char siu pork from Bibone sandwich shop. This was the main cause of the food poisoning incident.
