The bridge construction site is isolated from residential areas and surrounded by water. Transportation of materials, equipment, and machinery is primarily done by barge, ship, and canoe. The contractor built a temporary bridge over one meter wide on the river as a service road during construction. |
Engineers, workers, and cable-pulling equipment have been mobilized to the construction site. Each tower is designed with 48 stay cables, divided into two sides for installation.

The bridge and approach roads on the Dong Nai side, crossing the mangrove forest, are currently in the large-scale construction phase of bored piles, cement-reinforced soil piers, and site preparation. To date, the progress of this item has reached about 45% of the total construction value. Currently, this section still faces obstacles with nearly 3 ha of land, which is expected to be completed in Quarter 3 of this year and handed over to the contractor.

Phuoc An is the largest bridge built over the Thi Vai river, with a total investment of nearly 4,877 billion VND. The project creates a direct transport link between the Cai Mep port system and the Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway, allowing vehicles to travel directly to the western provinces without having to go through downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The project is scheduled for completion in 5/2027. Besides enhancing connectivity between key areas, it will reduce traffic on National Highway 51 and promote economic and social development in the region.
