The President's Office announced on 16/3 that all transactions and work-related contacts will take place at the new headquarters starting early next week. Existing contact channels, including phone, email, and agency contacts, will remain unchanged.
The headquarters of the President's Agency is located within the former Government Guest House compound, bordering Ngo Quyen street (gate 12) and Le Thach street (gate 2). The building was inaugurated in early February after 12 months of renovation, repair, and upgrade.
The building, a historical relic of Ha Noi, was constructed in the early 20th century on the site of Bao An Pagoda. During the French colonial period, it served as the Residence of the Tonkin Resident-Superior. In 1945, after Japan overthrew the French, the structure was renamed the Residence of the Imperial Commissioner of Tonkin.
Following the August Revolution of 1945, President Ho Chi Minh and the Provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam worked here, naming it Bac Bo Phu. After the resistance war against France concluded, the building underwent renovation and became part of the Guest House under the President's Palace.

From 1957, the Prime Minister assigned the Government Guest House to the Protocol Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) for management and use as a venue for receiving international delegations. In 1973, a 5-story building at 2 Le Thach was constructed within the compound and put into use in 1975. Nearly 10 years later, the Government Guest House was organized as a unit directly under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, operating independently under the direct guidance of the Ministry's leadership.
In September 2025, the National Assembly issued a resolution allowing the application of an urgent mechanism to renovate, repair, upgrade, and construct new headquarters for the President's Agency in this area, as proposed by the Government. Upon completion, Bac Bo Phu will become the official working headquarters for the President and the President's Office, serving domestic, foreign affairs, and state administration activities according to the approved project objectives.
