Sand from the beach has deeply encroached inland, covering pathways and plant beds near the pedestrian bridge in Thuy Van Park on 18/3.
The phenomenon of blowing sand at Bai Sau Beach typically occurs during the dry season, from November to around April of the following year. Dry weather loosens the surface sand, making it easily carried by strong northeast winds. The affected area stretches nearly 2 km along the park.

Nong Tuan, a regular swimmer at Bai Sau Beach, stated that previously this area was sheltered by beachfront restaurants, casuarina forests, and beach morning glory carpets, so sand blowing was rare. After the park's renovation towards an open space, lacking natural barriers, sand is now swept much deeper inland.","caption_items":"["",""]"}

Lawns near Tam Thang Tower are buried under more than 10 cm of sand, requiring workers to constantly clear it. Many trees in the park are also covered in sand.

Dozens of workers have been mobilized to shovel sand and return it to the beach.
{"caption_all":"Excavators are creating trenches along the embankment of the park to prevent sand from blowing and to open pathways to the beach for tourists. A representative from Vung Tau Park, Greenery, and Urban Development Joint Stock Company stated that thousands of meters of nets have been strung across lawns and plant beds; simultaneously, about 50 workers are mobilized to clear dozens of cubic meters of sand daily. However, this is only a temporary solution. For the long term, the company proposes planting more coastal trees such as: phong ba, nho bien to create a "sand fence".","caption_items":"["",""]"}
