School shuttle hit by dump truck

A school shuttle bus stopped on the roadside in Tan Thanh commune was struck from behind by a dump truck carrying soil, resulting in two students sustaining minor injuries and extensive damage to the vehicle on the morning of 18/3.

Around 6:50, on the inter-commune road passing through Xuan Lai hamlet, Tan Thanh commune, a 29-seat school shuttle bus was pulled over to the side to pick up a student when it was hit forcefully from behind by a dump truck carrying soil.

The impact pushed the shuttle bus approximately 30 meters. At the time of the accident, the weather was dry and the road was clear. According to witnesses, the bus had been stopped for about half a minute before being struck, and there were more than 10 students inside.

Vu Xuan Cong, chairman of Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee, stated that the accident caused minor scratches to two students, who were taken to a medical facility for examination.

At the scene, the rear of the school shuttle bus was severely damaged, while the dump truck's windshield was shattered.
