Song Pha Pass (Ngoan Muc), a vital route connecting Phan Rang in Khanh Hoa province with Da Lat in Lam Dong province, reopened this morning after a two-day closure due to landslides. Around 10:00 AM, traffic police in Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa opened checkpoints at both ends of the pass. Following the reopening, many motorbikes and trucks from Ninh Son immediately began traversing the pass.

The 18 km Song Pha Pass is located on National Highway 27. Two days ago, heavy rain triggered numerous landslides along the pass, compelling authorities to close the route for safety.

Beyond Song Pha Pass, prolonged heavy rain has also caused landslides, subsidence, and road damage on national highways 20 and 28 in Lam Dong. Three other main passes leading to Da Lat – Prenn, Mimosa, and D'ran – are still temporarily closed for repairs. Vehicles traveling to Da Lat currently need to use alternative routes through Sacom Pass (Tuyen Lam Lake) or Ta Nung.
