Nguyen Thi Tu, a local resident, recounted that the rain was initially light, but the wind grew stronger, causing her house to shake violently. She and her child had to run for shelter.
"The storm lasted about 15 minutes. When I went outside, I saw trees toppled and neighbors' corrugated iron roofs scattered everywhere", she said.
According to the Long Phu Thuan Commune People's Committee (UBND), the storm completely destroyed three houses, incurring losses of about 180 million VND; 32 houses had their roofs entirely blown off, and the remaining suffered partial damage. No casualties were reported in the incident.
