Mr. Tran Anh Tien appointed deputy chairman of the government office

Mr. Tran Anh Tien, director of the general economics department, has been appointed deputy chairman of the government office by the prime minister.

Mr. Tran Anh Tien holds a master's degree in economics. He previously served as director of the personnel department before being transferred to the position of director of the general economics department at the government office in 7/2019.

The government office serves as an assisting agency for the government and the prime minister. Its key functions include providing general advisory services, coordinating overall government activities, monitoring and urging the implementation of work programs, and appraising and reviewing dossiers of various projects and drafts before their submission to the government and the prime minister.

The minister and chairman of the government office is Mr. Dang Xuan Phong. The six deputy chairmen are: Mr. Do Ngoc Huynh, Mr. Pham Manh Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Mr. Don Tuan Phong, Mr. Tran Anh Tien, and Ms. Mai Thi Thu Van.
