The two teenagers were immediately rushed to the emergency room but died at the Chu Pah District Medical Center. Song sustained severe injuries and was transferred to Military Corps 15 Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police investigators initially determined the cause of the accident to be the motorcycle driver's inattention and failure to control speed. Furthermore, Song did not possess a driver's license. The road segment where the crash occurred is 8 meters wide, a two-way street with marked lanes and unobstructed visibility, but it lacks a street lighting system.
