After more than one year of construction, the pedestrian bridge spanning the Saigon River is scheduled for its final assembly on 21/10. This connection will link Bach Dang Wharf Park in Saigon ward with the Thu Thiem New Urban Area in An Khanh ward.
A key feature of the project is its main span, measuring approximately 187 m. It boasts a steel arch designed to resemble a nipa palm leaf, standing over 26 m high and spanning more than 35 m wide. The entire structure has undergone assembly and load testing at a factory within Dong Xuyen Industrial Park, located in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and is now ready for towing to the construction site.
With a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND, the project is anticipated to open for public use this year. The bridge will enhance connectivity between the two riverbanks, expanding public recreational areas and creating a significant architectural landmark in downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
