Authorities have identified the initial causes of the accident. Investigators determined that the truck driver made an improper turn, and the tractor-trailer failed to reduce its speed, leading to the collision.
The accident caused significant disruption and prompted an ongoing investigation. At the time of the incident, national highway 47B was clear, but foggy conditions and light rain made the road slippery. The highway remained blocked for several hours following the crash. Police are currently investigating the exact cause and clearing the scene.
