Tran Van Phuc appointed deputy head of the Central Inspection Committee

Tran Van Phuc, 48, a member of the Central Inspection Committee, has been approved by the Politburo to serve as deputy head of the Central Inspection Committee for the 14th term, 2026-2031.

On the afternoon of 7/10, Tran Sy Thanh, head of the Central Inspection Committee, presented the Politburo's decision to Tran Van Phuc.

According to Tran Sy Thanh, the Politburo's assignment of this new responsibility acknowledges Phuc's dedication, training, and contributions to the party's inspection, supervision, and discipline work. He urged the new deputy head to continue demonstrating responsibility, political acumen, and professional competence, working unitedly with the Central Inspection Committee to fulfill assigned duties.

Born in Hanoi, Tran Van Phuc holds a doctorate in criminology and crime prevention, a master's degree in law, a bachelor's degree in law, and a bachelor's degree in economics. He previously served as director of Quang Ninh Provincial Police before becoming a member of the Central Inspection Committee in 10/2025.

The Central Inspection Committee is a specialized inspection and supervision agency of the Central Committee, operating according to the Party's charter. It advises and assists the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in directing and guiding the party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work.

Currently, the Central Inspection Committee is led by Tran Sy Thanh as its head, with 9 deputy heads. These include Tran Tien Hung (standing deputy head), Nguyen Hong Linh, Tran Thi Hien, Ha Quoc Tri, Doan Anh Dung, Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Nguyen Minh Quang, Le Van Thanh, and Tran Van Phuc.
