Around 8 am, a cargo truck traveling on the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway, heading from Khanh Hoa to TP HCM, suddenly emitted smoke from its body. The driver pulled the vehicle into the emergency lane, exited the cabin, called for help, and warned oncoming vehicles to stop from a distance.

Minutes later, the fire erupted, engulfing the entire truck. Fire and Rescue Police, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department, worked to extinguish the blaze and redirect traffic. After about 15 minutes, the fire was brought under control, but most of the truck and all its cargo were destroyed.
The fire caused no casualties but resulted in a traffic jam stretching for about one km on the expressway. Authorities are investigating the cause.

The Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway, spanning over 78 km, is part of the North-South route passing through Khanh Hoa. It began operations in 4/2024. The expressway features four lanes, is 17 meters wide, has a maximum speed of 90 km/h, and represents a total investment exceeding 8,900 billion dong. Since 2025, the expressway has seen numerous traffic incidents, including truck and bus fires, primarily attributed to technical malfunctions in vehicles operating at high speeds.
