Vingroup launches six key projects to celebrate 80th national day

Vingroup inaugurated the National Exhibition Center and broke ground on a series of infrastructure, industrial, and urban projects in six provinces and cities on 19/8.

Vingroup inaugurated the National Exhibition Center near Tu Lien Bridge in Dong Anh district, Hanoi. The 900,000+ m2 project includes several components, such as the Kim Quy exhibition hall with a 24,000-ton steel dome roof, 56 m high; the 16,800 m2 VinPalace Co Loa convention center; an outdoor exhibition area; a park; a lake; and a parking lot spanning over 18 ha.

Completed in under 10 months, the complex ranks among the world’s 10 largest exhibition centers. According to Vingroup, it will host large-scale domestic and international exhibitions, conferences, and events.

The same day, Vingroup inaugurated the May Chai Bridge (also known as Hoang Gia Bridge) connecting Vu Yen island to downtown Hai Phong. The nearly 2.2 km long and 21 m wide bridge has four lanes. Its wing-shaped design at both ends symbolizes a "gateway to the world".

The conglomerate also broke ground on an international-standard, 18-hole golf course in Quang Hanh, Quang Ninh, covering approximately 100 ha. Nestled in a valley, the project offers views of the forest and Ha Long Bay.

In Ha Tinh, construction began on the Vinhomes industrial park in the Vung Ang economic zone, covering almost 965 ha. The project comprises workshops, a port, and logistics infrastructure aimed at attracting businesses in industry, high technology, and export.

In the Southeast region, Vingroup commenced work on the Phuoc Vinh Tay new urban area, spanning over 1,089 ha. The project will be developed as a smart ecological urban area, integrating commercial, educational, and healthcare functions.

In Dong Nai, the groundbreaking ceremony for component 1 of the western North-South Expressway, the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section, also took place. The over 124 km, six-lane expressway will connect the Central Highlands with the Southeast region.

According to a Vingroup representative, these projects are expected to enhance socio-economic infrastructure in the six localities, contributing to regional growth and attracting investment.

"The commissioning and simultaneous implementation of these projects are expected to add to the infrastructure, industrial, urban, and tourism sectors in six localities, creating jobs and increasing revenue, thereby supporting provincial and city growth objectives," the Vingroup representative said.
