Born in 2001 in Hung Yen, Do Thi Anh Nguyet is the only female archer from Vietnam to qualify for two consecutive Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. Her previous achievements include a bronze medal at the 2019 Asian Championship, a gold medal at the 30th SEA Games, and setting a national record.
Nguyet initially entered sports through basketball in 2016 but found it wasn't the right fit. One year later, she transitioned to archery, gradually developing a passion and showcasing her talent. Beyond her athletic prowess, Anh Nguyet is also known for her attractive appearance, earning her the nickname "hot girl archery".
This marks the first time the female athlete will participate in the side activities of the VnExpress Marathon series. Previously, other prominent Vietnamese athletes, such as national number one female badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh, weightlifter Le Van Cong, and taekwondo athlete Chau Tuyet Van, have appeared at events in Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and other locations.
