Before the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam visited an exhibition showcasing the club's 70-year history. Speaking at the event, he recalled CAHN’s establishment in 1956, just two years after the liberation of the capital. He praised the contributions of generations of players and the enduring affection of fans. According to the General Secretary and President, the strong bond of fans, even when the club had to cease operations, was a driving force for its restoration and development. He expressed his wish for the team to continue preserving its identity, honor, and traditions, while improving its achievements and contributing more to Vietnamese football.
Established on 10/10/1956, CAHN quickly became a notable name in Northern Vietnamese football. The team won the Northern championship three times in 1957, 1964, and 1969, before securing the national championship in 1984. By 1999, the team continued to make its mark with the Dunhill Cup title. For many decades, CAHN was known not only for its achievements but also for its technical, elegant playing style, synonymous with Hanoi football. However, amidst the fluctuations of Vietnamese football, the team faced a difficult period and had to cease operations.
A significant turning point came in 2023 when the team was restored under the name CAHN and returned to the V-League. In its very first season, the team won the national championship. This achievement ushered in a new phase of development, as the club gradually strengthened its squad and aimed for higher goals. Under the guidance of coach Alexandre Polking, the team was crowned champions in the 2025-2026 season with 64 points, in addition to winning the National Super Cup consecutively in 2025 and 2026. Most recently, CAHN defeated CA TP HCM 5-0 at Hang Day Stadium on 30/8, marking the largest winning margin in the history of the Vietnam Super Cup match. In the regional arena, the team previously secured the runner-up title in the ASEAN Club Cup 2024-2025. Another milestone is CAHN becoming the first Vietnamese club to qualify for the group stage of the AFC Champions League Elite, Asia's most prestigious club competition. This is considered a significant step in the club's ambition to expand beyond domestic competitions.

Beyond on-field achievements, the club's future infrastructure was also discussed at the ceremony. General Secretary and President To Lam stated that the Ministry of Public Security has an investment strategy ranging from youth training to infrastructure development. Hanoi City has also assigned Hang Day Stadium to the Public Security sector for management, laying the groundwork for studying its upgrade. Minister Luong Tam Quang announced that surveying and measurement work for Hang Day Stadium is underway, aiming to develop a modern, multi-functional stadium that meets international standards. The facility is expected to serve not only training and competition but also host domestic and international sports events and exchanges, while preserving the historical value of Hanoi football.
The Minister also mentioned plans to enhance exchanges with top global football clubs such as Man Utd, AC Milan, and Inter Milan, thereby creating opportunities for players to improve their professional skills. According to Minister Luong Tam Quang, CAHN club's development in this new phase should be assessed not only by titles but also by its ability to maintain achievements, build a successor force, and create a sustainable foundation. He urged the club to focus on youth training, apply science and technology in coaching, and expand international cooperation.
