After 33 rounds, Al Nassr leads the table by two points over Al Hilal. This means the team will be champions if they defeat Damac at their home ground, Al Awwal Park.
If Al Nassr fails to defeat Damac, Al Hilal will secure the championship if they overcome Al Fayha in the concurrent match, thanks to a superior head-to-head record against Al Nassr. However, if Al Hilal does not defeat Al Fayha, Al Nassr will be champions regardless of their match result against Damac.
This scenario makes the Damac match a decisive moment for Ronaldo. Should Al Nassr fail to win the title, Ronaldo will still not have ended his official title drought in Saudi Arabia.

The championship opportunity arrives for Al Nassr just five days after their defeat in the AFC Champions League Two final. On 16/5, they lost 0-1 to Gamba Osaka at home, a match where Ronaldo missed several chances. This marks Al Nassr's fourth consecutive final defeat since the Portuguese superstar joined the team in early 2023, excluding tournaments considered friendlies like the Arab Club Champions Cup.
Previously, Al Nassr lost the King Cup 2024 final, the Saudi Super Cup 2024, and the Saudi Super Cup 2025. The team also finished as runner-up in the Saudi Pro League for two consecutive seasons in 2023 and 2024, despite having Ronaldo in their squad. In total, Al Nassr has participated in 14 tournaments with the 41-year-old superstar without securing a title.
Ronaldo's most recent title came in the Coppa Italia 2021, when Juventus defeated Atalanta 2-1 in the final, despite the Portuguese superstar failing to score. Following this, he spent over one season with Man Utd, ending up empty-handed.
The pressure on Al Nassr intensifies because Damac has not yet secured their spot in the league. The visiting team is currently two points above the relegation zone and needs only a draw to remain in the Saudi Pro League, thanks to a superior head-to-head record against Al Riyadh. Consequently, Damac is expected to play a tight defensive game to earn at least one point.
Meanwhile, Al Hilal still awaits an opportunity to overturn the situation. Coach Simone Inzaghi's team will visit Al Fayha's stadium concurrently, with the home side having nothing left to play for.
Beyond the team competition, Ronaldo has limited chances for individual awards. In the goal-scoring list, Ivan Toney (Al Ahli) leads with 32 goals, while the Al Nassr captain ranks third with 26 goals, behind Julian Quinones (Al Quadisiya, 30 goals).
