The 17-year-old female student rushed into the sea to save a friend swept away by waves, managed to bring the victim close to shore but became exhausted, was swept away by the current and died.

The body of Le Van Thuong, a tourist who disappeared four days ago after being swept away by waves, was discovered washed ashore on Ninh Chau beach, approximately 15 km south of the incident site.
