Artist Quang Thang confirmed his participation as a guest in one of the ten episodes of Sao Chon, a show making its debut within Vietnam iContent 2026. Under the theme "A Thousand Miles of Vietnam - A Thousand Brilliant Flavors", the actor and his younger colleagues will savor regional specialties, learn about ingredient combinations, preparation methods, seasoning, and listen to the stories of individuals dedicated to preserving culinary excellence.
Born in 1968 in Hai Phong, actor Quang Thang showed an early talent for acting and singing. In 1999, he joined the program Gap Nhau Cuoi Tuan, later gaining popularity for his role as the "Economic Genie" in Tao Quan. With over 30 years in the profession, beyond his comedic stage persona, the artist has portrayed diverse roles in television series such as Nhung Nguoi Con Cua Bien, Song O Day Song, Loi Noi Doi Ngot Ngao, Yeu Thi Ghet Thoi, and 11 Thang 5 Ngay.
In 2015, Quang Thang received the title of Meritorious Artist from the State. In 2021, the actor was one of 78 prominent artists honored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The culinary exploration map for Sao Chon also includes Tuan Cry, a young man born and raised in Bac Ninh, from a family with a tradition of quan ho folk singing. He expressed excitement about visiting different regions, discovering unique delicacies, and learning about local cultures. This experience will also serve as inspiration for Tuan Cry to compose new, vibrant melodies.
The musician, whose real name is Nguyen Sy Tuan, born in 1992, graduated from Hanoi University of Industry with an associate's degree. In 2018, Tuan Cry gained recognition for a series of parody songs with a strong Northern Vietnamese influence, such as Bac Lan and Anh Nha O Cau Giay. One year later, he pursued a professional artistic career under the stage name Tuan Cry, focusing on witty lyrics and a diverse musical style.
In 2023, he released the song Moi Trau, collaborating with Masew. Other notable folk-inspired works by Tuan Cry include Ha Bac Que Toi, Xap Xinh Xap Xinh (featuring Double2T), and Ken Ca Chon Canh (in collaboration with Hoa Minzy). In early 2025, he wrote Bac Bling, performed by Masew, Hoa Minzy, and Xuan Hinh.

Sao Chon also takes Do Duy Nam on this thousand-mile journey to savor the distinct flavors of ten provinces and cities. Like his colleagues, he looks forward to exploring and capturing intimate yet amusing footage, adding a "brilliant" perspective to the program.
Do Duy Nam, born in 1990, graduated from Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. He first gained attention through his participation in the film Song Ngam, the programs Chung Cu 22+, Bua Trua Vui Ve, and Guong Mat Than Quen, and by releasing parody music videos. In recent years, Duy Nam has made his mark playing diverse supporting roles in Huong Vi Tinh Than, Huong Duong Nguoc Nang, Thuong Ngay Nang Ve, Biet Duoc Den, and the crime series Doc Dao. In early 2025, he played the character Tao Dau in Tao Quan 2025, a role that merged Nam Tao and Bac Dau in line with the program's message of streamlining the system.
Four members of Uprize, a music group that emerged from the Tan Binh Toan Nang program, also confirmed their participation in Sao Chon. Singers O.D, PN, LAVM, and Wonbi will add a youthful, dynamic flair to the "A Thousand Miles of Vietnam - A Thousand Brilliant Flavors" journey.
Member O.D (Dang Duc Duy), born in 2005, is known for his singing, dancing, and rapping skills. The same age as O.D, singer PN (Nguyen Thanh Phuc Nguyen) was the top entrance exam scorer for the Music Pedagogy Department at Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music in 2024. He excels in vocals, piano, guitar, and composition.
Meanwhile, member LAVM (Nguyen Lam Anh) has attracted a large fanbase due to his appealing appearance and strong academic record. In 2023, he achieved 27,15 points on the entrance exam for Hanoi University of Science and Technology and was the runner-up in the A01 block during the Phuc Loi High School (Hanoi) graduation exam.
Member Wonbi (Le Pham Minh Quan), born in 2002, has been passionate about dance since childhood. He was the runner-up of Junior Dance Star 2014 and earned the "Promising Teen Star" award at the Ngoi Sao Xi Tin 2017 competition. In 2020, he appeared in the Ghen Co Vy video alongside dancer Quang Dang. He choreographed numerous performances for the Chi Dep Dap Gio Re Song 2023 program. By 2025, he successfully competed in the Tan Binh Toan Nang selection to debut with the Uprize group.

Sao Chon will run from august to november, featuring ten episodes, each approximately 40 minutes long. It will air on VTV8 and the VnExpress Youtube channel at 9 p.m. every sunday. The first episode is scheduled to air on 27/9. This culinary discovery journey from North to South Vietnam is curated and presented by the Vietnam Association of Professional Chefs and Employment (VICA), along with selected artists and celebrities. The organizers will soon announce the accompanying artists for each episode and the dishes featured in the program.
One day prior, the organizers revealed the names of eleven artists and key opinion leaders (KOLs) set to appear on the show: actors Huyen Lizzie, Ngoc Thanh Tam, content creator Ho Khac Vinh (owner of the Vinh Thich An Ngon channel), MC Khanh Vy, singers Ngo Lan Huong, Han Sara, Bui Lan Huong, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu, 14 Casper, Thai Le Minh Hieu, and director Nguyen Quang Dung. The four hosts energizing the show are MC Tran Ngoc, Phi Linh, Le Duong Bao Lam, and actor Ngoc Phuoc.
The program also announced the ten stops for the hosts and guests: Ha Long, Hai Phong, Ha Noi, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang, TP HCM, Vung Tau (TP HCM), and Can Tho.

Through Sao Chon, the organizers aim to spread patriotism and Vietnamese culture, ignite national pride, encourage a positive, experience-rich lifestyle, and inspire every citizen to become an ambassador promoting Vietnam's image to both domestic and international friends.
The Sao Chon series is also part of a strategic initiative to respond to Politburo Resolution No. 80 on the development of Vietnamese culture. It further supports the policy of promoting national cultural values and enhancing the image of Vietnam and its people through digital media platforms.
