However, experts note that being labeled "unfriendly" sometimes reflects cultural differences rather than malicious intent. Below are the destinations rated least friendly by the travel industry and various forums.

Paris is often cited for its perceived unfriendliness, particularly towards those who do not speak French. She added that despite many residents speaking English well, they sometimes decline to use it due to cultural principles.

However, this attitude is largely confined to Paris.
