The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced statistics on 12/7 for DIFF 2026, themed "Da Nang – Connecting Horizons," which ran from 30/5 to 11/7. The total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments reached over 2,72 million, marking an increase of nearly 45% compared to the 2025 festival. Specifically, during the six days of the event, the city accommodated 688,500 visitors.
On the final night of 11/7, general room occupancy in hotels across the central city area, including Hai Chau, Hoa Cuong, Son Tra, An Hai, and Ngu Hanh Son wards, reached 95-98%. This was the highest rate recorded for four consecutive years since the DIFF 2023 season.

In the overall results, the Macedos Pirotecnia team from Portugal claimed the championship title, receiving a prize worth 20,000 USD (equivalent to 520 million VND). The Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd team from Trung Quoc secured the runner-up position with a prize of 10,000 USD.
The organizing committee also presented the "Creative" award to the Martarello Group S.R.L team from Italy and the "Promising" award to the Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks team from Japan. The Da Nang team from Vietnam received the "Most Loved by Audience" award. Each of these special awards was valued at 5,000 USD (equivalent to 130 million VND).
On the closing day, 11/7, accommodation establishments welcomed 131,000 visitors, an increase of 16% compared to the same period last year. International visitors accounted for 52,400 arrivals (up 27%), while domestic visitors reached 78,600 arrivals (up nearly 10%). The city's overall room occupancy rate was approximately 85%, an increase of 6,3% year-on-year.
For four-to-five-star hotels, occupancy rates reached 80-85%. Hotels along Vo Nguyen Giap street and those near the grandstand and fireworks display area achieved 95-100% occupancy. Three-star and lower-rated hotels recorded 85-90% occupancy, with coastal and Han River-front areas reaching over 95-100%.
Aviation also increased capacity to accommodate the influx of tourists. On 10/7 and 11/7, the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang reached 365, an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The average flight frequency was 183 flights per day, an increase of 16 flights.
Cumulatively, over the six nights of the festival and the preceding adjacent days, the total number of domestic and international flights exceeded 1,900, a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The average frequency reached 163 flights per day, an increase of 11 flights daily.
This year, DIFF was, for the first time, listed among the top nine most experiential festivals in the world by Travel + Leisure tourism magazine.
