On 25/7, a Nha Trang Ward People's Committee leader announced that during a patrol on 22/7, an inter-agency task force found Ms. Mai, a social media personality, selling items on a restricted road and allegedly soliciting customers.
Authorities had previously warned Ms. Mai multiple times, demanding compliance with regulations. After repeated violations, the task force confiscated her carrying pole.
According to a representative from the Ward People's Committee, Ms. Mai was not issued an administrative fine; authorities only seized her items as per regulations.

Ms. Mai became an "internet sensation" after appearing in a video by an English tourist in August 2028, which garnered nearly 40 million views. She gained attention for a humorous English jingle, adapted from Lionel Richie's song "Hello," used to attract customers.
After her carrying pole was confiscated, Ms. Mai acknowledged her wrongdoing. She admitted authorities had warned and dealt with her numerous times during her over 30 years as a street vendor.
