On the final day of their official visit to Vietnam, the South Korean president and first lady, accompanied by their entourage, spent an evening strolling around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi's Old Quarter. During their walk, the presidential couple sampled various signature Vietnamese dishes, from main courses to desserts.
Pho and fried rice
The delegation visited a pho restaurant at the beginning of Dinh Liet Street, near the old Ham Ca Map building. They ordered 17 bowls of cooked beef pho and two portions of fried rice with pickled beef, both signature dishes from the restaurant's menu, with no special preparation requests. At the time, the restaurant continued to serve other customers as usual.
Ly Quoc Su beef pho on Dinh Liet Street is not among Hanoi's most famous pho establishments, but many diners choose it for its convenient location and palatable food. The restaurant, approximately 15 square meters, has 5 tables, each seating 4-5 people, with the cooking area upstairs. The space is clean, though it can be a bit warm. Each bowl costs from 55,000 VND. Address: 40 Dinh Liet Street, Hoan Kiem Ward. *Hoang Giang*

Thuy Ta ice cream, established in 5/1958, currently operates two small stalls outside the Thuy Ta restaurant, along Hoan Kiem Lake. Alongside Trang Tien ice cream, Thuy Ta ice cream is a historic specialty that almost every visitor to Hanoi wishes to try. Thuy Ta offers various types, including ice cream sticks, cones, and bulk ice cream, with prices ranging from 10,000 VND to 95,000 VND. Notably, Thuy Ta also features Hanoi landmark ice cream, depicting symbols like the Hanoi Post Office or Turtle Tower, priced at 20,000 VND. Address: 1 Le Thai To, Hoan Kiem Ward. *Tam Anh*
Durian, grilled skewers, and sugarcane juice. Visiting Hang Gai Street, the presidential couple enjoyed these three food and drink items at a small, casual shop located at the corner of Hang Gai and To Tich streets. Shop owner Nguyen Thi Chien stated her family has been selling various fruits for over 30 years, all seasonally imported from the southern region. *Tam Anh*
