The Can Gio Spring Festival opens on 7/2 and runs until 28/2. The program features a "festival within a festival" series, including a spring flower festival, a hot air balloon festival, paragliding performances, and regional cuisine.
The organizers announced that this marks the first time a hot air balloon festival will be part of a spring festival celebrating the Lunar New Year. The event features 22 large, colorful hot air balloons, offering visitors panoramic views of the Can Gio coastline, mangrove forests, and the new urban area under completion.
Activities are scheduled for specific times, subject to weather conditions. The organizers stated that trial flights will be limited to ensure safety and manage visitor flow.

Additionally, a Turkish-style photo zone, inspired by Cappadocia, will feature desert colors, curved domes, and colorful hot air balloons, creating a new visual and photographic experience for visitors.
Paragliding is another highlight, scheduled for special days: opening (7-8/2), Valentine's Day (14/2), and 15/2. Professional pilots will perform demonstrations under suitable weather conditions. Visitors can register for tandem flights with instructors if they meet safety requirements, offering another aerial perspective of the sea and urban area.

According to the organizers, the Binh Ngo 2026 Lunar New Year event, opening at the Vinhomes Green Paradise urban area, marks the beginning of a "new era of development" for the coastal green urban area, ten months after its groundbreaking.
Throughout the three-week event, the entire venue will be decorated in a traditional Tet style, featuring welcome gates, large Binh Ngo zodiac mascot displays, and artistic photo zones.
The central area will be adorned with a 130-year-old, 10-meter-tall Phu Quy mai tree, along with over 600 mai and dao trees from Vietnam's southern and northern regions. A "wish-granting mai tree" displaying 2,026 lucky money envelopes will be a highlight, inviting people to participate in "picking lucky blessings" for the new year. Large and small artistic displays and workshops will be interspersed, catering to visitors' exploration and interaction needs.
Beyond entertainment, cultural elements are emphasized through a three-region culinary space and specialty stalls. Visitors can participate in folk games like the bamboo dance, lion-dragon dance, watch calligraphers give lucky words, or directly experience making banh tet. Notably, a high-altitude fireworks display will be presented on the opening day and New Year's Eve, marking the first Tet season since the project's groundbreaking in April 2025.
The festival takes place near Can Thanh town center, accessible by car or motorbike via the Rung Sac route, or by canoe or speedboat from Bach Dang Wharf. Within the premises, parking, pick-up points, and rest areas are available. The organizers recommend visitors check the daily activity schedule to plan their itinerary accordingly.
