A representative from the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee announced on 23/11 that the festival is themed "Echoes of Heritage – Connecting the Future." This significant cultural event aims to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Central Highlands Gong Culture Space being recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
The festival will host gong art troupes from five Southeast Asian nations: Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Domestically, in addition to six host troupes from Lam Dong, representatives from Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Kon Tum, and Phu Tho (representing the Muong and Thai ethnic groups) will also participate.
A major highlight is the "Southeast Asian Gong Harmony" night on 20/12, at Lam Vien Square in Da Lat. Over 200 artisans are expected to perform, blending traditional gong music with contemporary sounds. This event is anticipated to set a record for the largest gong performance space combined with cultural and artistic elements.

Leading up to the official opening, street performances for tourists will animate Da Lat's city center from 1/12 to 17/12. Visitors can also engage in various side activities: brocade fashion shows, exploring the Global Coffee Heritage Fair 2025, and enjoying dedicated coffee tasting areas.
Additionally, the first Lam Dong Provincial Gong Club Festival will take place on 28-29/12 at the Bon N’Jieng Traditional House in Gia Nghia City (formerly Dak Nong). This event will feature all outstanding gong teams from within Lam Dong province.
Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that the festival underscores the province's commitment to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in music. The event also serves to promote cultural heritage, foster international exchange, and introduce the people and landscapes of Lam Dong. By showcasing the unique cultural identity of the Central Highlands ethnic groups through these festival activities, it aims to attract more tourists to the region.
