By 2030, the province expects to achieve approximately 100,000 tourism accommodation rooms, with 75% meeting 3-5 star standards. Total revenue from tourists is projected to reach 9 billion USD, contributing 20% to the GRDP. It aims to welcome 33 million overnight guests, with international visitors accounting for 40-45%. The average length of stay is targeted at 4-5 days per guest, with spending increasing by 1,5-2 times compared to 2025. Tourism is also expected to create more than 300,000 jobs.
To achieve these objectives, the strategy outlines six key solution groups: developing Khanh Hoa tourism into a prominent destination; building its brand; improving connectivity and accessibility; enhancing visitor experiences; ensuring financial resources; and strengthening smart governance. These elements are concretized into 36 priority tasks, focusing on refining institutions, policies, and improving state management capacity.
The strategy emphasizes the roles of digital transformation, green transformation, modern destination management, night economy development, and iconic tourism products linked to cultural and heritage values. These include: Yen Sao (edible bird's nests), Tram Huong (agarwood), Cham culture, and the Ka-te festival, all contributing to the province's unique tourism identity.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien underscored that the strategy's issuance "is an important step, demonstrating the province's high political determination" to drive tourism toward breakthrough and sustainable development, making it a socio-economic growth engine in the new era.
Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is a familiar destination for international tourists, known for its beautiful bay, white sandy beaches, clear blue waters, and mild climate. Total tourism revenue was estimated at 66,7 trillion VND, an increase of more than 16,8% compared to 2024, achieving 100% of its target.
