Muong Thanh honors young artists in painting competition

Muong Thanh Group recently recognized 25 young artists, awarding prizes for the 4th season of its "Travel with Muong Thanh" painting competition on the afternoon of 22/11.

This annual event, organized by Muong Thanh Group, aims to foster a creative space for children and instill patriotism through art. This year's program saw a significant increase in both the quantity and quality of submitted entries.

The competition's theme, "Vietnam through my eyes," resonated strongly with young participants. Submitted artworks showcased diverse perspectives on the homeland, featuring familiar scenes like communal house roofs, blue seas, terraced fields, cityscapes, and traditional daily activities. Judges praised many entries for their clear emotional expression and keen observation skills.

Following a thorough evaluation, the organizing committee selected three first-prize winners, seven second-prize winners, and 15 third-prize winners. The top honors went to Nguyen Ha Vy, 9, from Hanoi, for her artwork "Vinh quy bai to"; Nguyen Ngoc Linh, 13, from Ninh Binh, for "Vietnam through my eyes - A journey of love and pride"; and Nguyen Minh Khang, 9, from Bac Ninh, for "Vietnamese childhood happy with folk and traditional games."

"I am very happy that the competition created an opportunity for me to express my passion for painting and convey my love for my homeland through each brushstroke," shared Nguyen Ha Vy. "This award will motivate me to continue pursuing art in the future."

Parents also lauded the initiative. Pham Tuan from Hai Phong, whose child has participated in previous seasons, highly praised Muong Thanh Group's cultural and educational activities for children. "This is a beneficial platform, helping children develop creative thinking, express their love for their homeland, and providing an opportunity for families to bond," Mr. Tuan added.

A Muong Thanh Group representative expressed hope that the program will continue as an annual event, expanding in scale in future seasons. The goal is to attract more domestic and international participants to celebrate and promote the image of Vietnam. Muong Thanh, the largest private hotel group in Indochina, has consistently supported cultural and educational programs for children over many years.

Organizers affirmed that the sustained success of the painting competition over several years demonstrates children's genuine interest in art. Positive feedback from parents and participants provides the basis for the group to continue developing this initiative, aiming to further expand its reach to more localities.
