Since early december, photographers have posted numerous images of the duck flock near a lonely tree in Ninh Thanh commune, about 6 kilometers from Ba Den Mountain. These photos have attracted thousands of interactions on social media. Many visitors reported having camped, flown kites, and picnicked in the area multiple times without noticing the ducks until the images went viral. |

According to the owner, Peking ducks are commonly raised in Tay Ninh. They have white feathers, yellow beaks, large bodies, are less prone to disease, and offer high commercial value. Each breeding cycle lasts over three months, with adult ducks reaching a weight of about 3 kilograms per bird. |
Photographer Nguyen Khanh Vu Khoa, based in Ho Chi Minh City, captured images of the duck flock and the lake at the foot of Ba Den Mountain during a photo trip to Tay Ninh on 17/12.
"From an altitude of about 80 meters, when the drone flew up, the ducks looked like white snowflakes standing out against the natural landscape", Khoa said.
Tran Thanh Hai, the owner of the flock, stated that there are currently over 3,000 ducks being raised for Tet. The ducks are bred year-round in this location, unlike the seasonal free-range ducks found in the Mien Tay region.
Hai mentioned he has been raising ducks for over 30 years, living and building a hut to watch over the flock in the area. Recently, as more young people have come to take photos, he has facilitated their visits.

To capture the desired photos, Khoa returned to Ninh Thanh commune two days later. Previous trips were unsuccessful because he had not understood the ducks' movement schedule and the weather conditions were unfavorable.

The ducks are quite accustomed to people and often gather in large numbers during feeding times, forming many circles on the water and open ground. This behavior makes them easy to observe and photograph, Khoa noted.
"If the photographer hadn't captioned it, I would have thought this was an artificial intelligence product", commented Oanh Le.
In the small lake, the ducks swam, continuously separating and regrouping into clusters. The white spots moved on the water, creating an orderly and rhythmic composition. According to the photographer, this was one of the most striking moments he captured.

The photographer captured the duck flock under the sunset on the afternoon of 17/12.
The photographer advised that the ideal times to photograph the flock are early morning or late afternoon, coinciding with feeding times. Visitors can visit for free but need to ask for permission from the owner and follow instructions.
The location is far from residential areas, so visitors should ask locals or find the spot on a map before arriving.
