Sun PhuQuoc Airways expands flight routes to Hong Kong

Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) begins ticket sales for the Hanoi - Hong Kong (China) route from 30/9, while doubling the frequency of the Phu Quoc - Hong Kong service after two months of operation.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways is expanding its international network with a new route and increased flight frequencies to Hong Kong. The airline will launch daily round-trip flights between Hanoi and Hong Kong starting 30/9. According to the schedule, flights from Hanoi will depart at 9:15 a.m., arriving in Hong Kong at 12:05 p.m. (local time). The return flight will depart at 1:05 p.m. and land in Hanoi at 1:55 p.m.

The Phu Quoc - Hong Kong route will see its frequency doubled to two round-trip flights daily, effective 14/7. Flights from Phu Quoc are scheduled to depart at 3:30 p.m., arriving in Hong Kong at 7:20 p.m. (local time). The return journey will depart at 8:20 p.m., landing in Phu Quoc at 10:10 p.m. This route was inaugurated on 22/5, operated by aircraft 9G502.

A representative for Sun PhuQuoc Airways stated that these expansions aim to strengthen connections between Vietnam and Hong Kong, a pivotal financial, commercial, and aviation hub in Asia. This strategic move is part of the airline's broader plan to grow its international network, with Phu Quoc serving as a central connecting point. The airline is also developing additional domestic routes using a "spoke-and-hub" model to attract a more diverse customer base to Phu Quoc, often referred to as "Pearl Island".

To celebrate the launch of ticket sales for the new route, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is offering a 20% discount on basic fares across all ticket classes. This promotion is valid for bookings made via its website or official app for the Hanoi route between 21/7 and 21/8, excluding peak travel periods. The airline also continues its existing special offers: children's fares are priced at 75% of adult tickets, and passengers aged 60 and above receive an 85% discount on regular prices.

Beyond network expansion, SPA is committed to developing its "Resort in the Sky" model, a leisure aviation concept designed to elevate service quality to international five-star standards. The airline has introduced new generation passenger cabins, a signature La Festa fragrance, a wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, checked baggage, and customized meal services based on ticket class.

Upon arrival, customers can leverage the Sun Signature membership package. This program allows them to accumulate points, which can be redeemed for reward tickets, baggage allowances, seat upgrades, and exclusive offers within the Sun Group ecosystem. The program also features global payment convenience through integrations with NCB and Visa, ensuring a seamless travel experience from departure to destination.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to increase its fleet size to 32 aircraft this year and will introduce the wide-body Airbus A330 series into operation from 9. The company stated this initiative forms the foundation for the airline to gradually implement its "Rise to the World" strategy, thereby enhancing Vietnam's aviation connectivity.
