National Geographic Traveller (UK) announced the winners of its 15th annual photography competition in late May. The winning photographs are on display at King's Cross station in London from 28/5 to 12/7. The competition celebrates unique perspectives of the world across 8 categories, ranging from wildlife and landscapes to urban life and culinary culture.
The top prize was awarded to photographer Edward Hasler for his aerial shot of the Namib Desert from a helicopter. Rare heavy rains created water channels weaving through the dunes, leaving behind tree-like patterns on the desert floor.
