Quang Ninh is accessible from Hanoi in about 2,5 hours via its highway system. The Bai Chay area, home to the Sun World Ha Long complex, is a central hub for activities. Adventure enthusiasts can visit Dragon Park for thrilling modern rides. For a more cultural experience, visitors can take the Queen Cable Car across Cua Luc Bay to Sun Hill. There, they can explore the Japanese Garden, take photos at the unique Koi Bridge, or immerse themselves in the Legendary Sword Forging Village.
A distinctive culinary experience is "dine in the sky" on the Sun Wheel. From 215 m high, guests can enjoy meals, panoramic views of the heritage city, and the crisp year-end air. After activities, the Vui-Fest night market at Sun Carnival Square offers local seafood, shopping, and vibrant nightlife.

The major attraction in Quang Ninh is the new year countdown event. The provincial Department of Culture and Sports announced that the Countdown Quang Ninh to New Year 2026 program will be held at 21h30 on 31/12 at 30/10 Square in Ha Long ward. The event will feature a spectacular high-altitude fireworks display and performances by renowned artists, including People's Artist Quang Tho, Thu Minh, Minh Tuyet, Phan Manh Quynh, Binz, and Trung Quan Idol.
Beyond the lively festivities, Quang Ninh also offers wellness retreats, ideal for the anticipated cold weather in the North during early year. Soaking in the hot springs at Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh provides a relaxing therapy. Its Japanese-inspired setting and natural mineral waters help guests rejuvenate after a busy year.
