Vietjet offers free flight changes for flood-affected passengers

The airline offers free flight changes, refunds, or credit for passengers at Phu Cat, Tuy Hoa, and Cam Ranh airports with departures scheduled from 19/11 to 25/11.

Vietjet has announced a policy of free flight changes, refunds, or credit for passengers traveling through airports in Central Vietnam affected by recent floods. This initiative aims to support residents and travelers impacted by heavy rains and rising water levels in the region.

The policy applies to flights departing from Cam Ranh airport (Khanh Hoa) from 20/11 to 23/11, Tuy Hoa airport (Dak Lak) from 20/11 to 25/11, and Phu Cat airport (Gia Lai) from 19/11 to 23/11. For assistance, passengers can contact Vietjet's hotline at 19001886, visit official ticket offices, or speak with airline representatives at Cam Ranh, Tuy Hoa, and Phu Cat airports.

In addition to assisting passengers, Vietjet is providing free transportation of relief goods from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Central provinces experiencing flood impacts. Organizations and individuals wishing to send aid can contact Vietjet via hotline 0918 716 828 (Hanoi), 0912 384 770 (Ho Chi Minh City), or email cuutro@vietjetair.com for registration instructions.

These measures come as Central Vietnam faces severe flooding. Since 15/11, heavy rains have caused water levels in the Ba River (Dak Lak) and Ha Thanh River (Gia Lai) to rise sharply, approaching historical flood levels. This situation threatens severe inundation and widespread landslides across the region. Many areas in provinces such as Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa have become isolated, leading to temporary suspensions or rescheduling of aviation activities at local airports. Vietjet's comprehensive response aims to mitigate the challenges faced by those affected.
